WiFi

All Tulsa City-County Library locations offer wireless Internet access.

Wireless Access Policies:

  • All Tulsa City-County Library locations offer wireless internet access (Wi-Fi) to users who have mobile devices that are 802.11 (a/b/g/n/ac compatible).
  • The service is free and available inside the library facility during hours the library is open and within range of the wireless reception outside the building at all hours.
  • Other than keeping the service up and running, the library cannot offer any technical support for user hardware or connection settings. The library cannot guarantee that your device will be able to connect to our wireless service.
  • Using the library's wireless internet access for any illegal activity, including violating copyright or other rights of third parties, or in a manner inconsistent with the library's system or its proper operation is in violation of the law and library policy and will result in loss of access.
  • The library's wireless access is not a secure network. Cautious and informed users should not transmit any personal information - like credit card numbers, passwords or other sensitive data - while using this service. In addition, the library recommends that users have up-to-date virus and spam protection on their devices. The library is not responsible for any compromised information or hardware/software damage due to security issues.
  • Users will need to operate on battery power as library outlets are not available for use with this service except in designated areas at some library locations. Rearranging of library furniture to access an available outlet is not permitted.
  • This wireless access is available in as much of a building as possible, but users may encounter "dead" spots where wireless reception is unavailable or limited.
  • When using sound, customers are expected to use headphones so as not to disturb other customers.
  • Any restriction or monitoring of a minor's access to the library's wireless network is the sole responsibility of the parent or guardian.
  • Tulsa City-County Library assumes no responsibility for the safety of equipment or for compromise of device configurations, security or data files resulting from connection to the library's wireless access.
  • TCCL's "Internet Usage and Safety Policy" is incorporated into this policy and is applicable to Wi-Fi users at the library.
